Face-to-Face, Online
and Phone Counselling

Person-centred
counselling based in Wells

Sometimes people feel the need to seek a change in their lives.

When that happens, it can help to have someone to talk to, someone who is there just for you – whose focus is on how you feel, and on what you want and need.

Someone who will listen to what you say; and work together with you on whatever issues you want to address.

I work to provide such support in an open, calm and non-judgemental way – as a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I provide sessions (with flexible appointment times) either:

  • in person (from a convenient location in Wells, with free parking always available nearby and the Wells Bus Station just a one-minute walk away)
  • or remotely (online or over the phone)

There can be many different reasons for thinking about working with a counsellor:

  • It might be because you feel out of control, and don’t seem to have the personal resources to be able to stop feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stressed by events.

  • Maybe you feel as if important relationships just aren’t working properly, leading you to feel lonely, distant or isolated – perhaps the people closest to you can’t understand how you are feeling, or else you don’t want to burden them with what you are going through.

  • Possibly you are feeling sad or depressed, unable to participate in other people’s, apparent, lightness and happiness.

  • You might be feeling personally unfulfilled – everyone else’s lives seem to be so much more contented than your own, and you feel like you’re missing out on something.

  • Maybe you are experiencing feelings of loss – such as grief over the death of someone close to you; or pain at the end of a relationship or career.

  • Or there might be some behaviour or habit you feel you wish to change; or perhaps you want to understand yourself better.

Finding a counsellor that you can work with sometimes takes a few tries, and it’s important that you find someone who you can build a good working relationship with.
